My name is Allexza Gonzales; I am a junior at Santa Ana high school. I am currently a veteran in the Youth & Government program. This program has not only taught me to be a leader but to recognize my weaknesses. My interactive skills have progressed in a way that I did not think possible. Youth & Government has broadened my view in politics and knowledge this program has enabled me to be much more aware of my surroundings.

It has encouraged me to get involved in the political field and the future interest as a career. Youth & Government have given me the courage to stand up and be able to speak my voice and allow others to hear me. I get more involved in my classes because of the inspiration Youth & Government has given me. I continue to excel in my classes by joining class discussions on topics that I had no interest before the program.

This program has caught my attention towards learning about the economy and ways to help. I have many great experiences from Bill Night to camp Roberts. I was informed to this program through my close friend Joana Sanchez who is currently the delegation president. I learn many things from her and admire her as a leader. To soon grow up to her level and prosper as the program continues. Youth & Government is not something you can not read about but something you have to experience first hand.
