My name is Onesimo Ruiz and I am currently a junior at Santa Ana High School. This is my currently my first year in the Youth & Government program. The reason why I join Youth & Government was because I expect a lot from the program. Some of the things that I expect from the program is leadership, knowledge, and strengths. I would also like for this program to help better my weaknesses that I have in me. For example, I want to improve on my speaking skills, how to communicate around people. I want this program not just to help me with basic things but also of how I want my life to be in the future. I want this program to teach me how the world could be out there like can it be scary at some point and could it be fun at some point. I also want this program to teach me how to be responsible for my own action and also how to be committed in what my career is. My career or what I would like to be is a lawyer and by joining this program it can defiantly help me accomplish that major goal. This program can bring me a lot of experience starting from school and outside of school. The Youth & Government program can also help me make wise choices in different situation that I can be stuck in. These choice that I could make can lead to me a better future in my life. For example, there are people out there that choice to be a gang member or they choice a path that can lead them to a worse place in life. I feel that this program can help me improve a lot not just the outside of me and the inside but how I can approach things through out my life. All of the above I herd that this program can help me a lot and can also help me do better in my life.
