My name is Ana Pascual I am currently a junior in Santa Ana High school .At the beginning of this year I heard several of my classmates talk about YMCA but I didn't know what it was . Once I ask then they convince me to join it the program by telling me how much you everyone grown in their leadership and interacting skills. Since the first day I came to high school I always look for program that help me grow by me gaining self-confidence .Since the YMCA program fit all the aspects I was looking for I didn't even think about it twice. As soon as found out I decided to join them on their meetings. I have been to about six meeting so far, during this weeks I have grown so much in my self as stem and my communication skills. I'm enjoying this program so much that whenever I can I go to their optional events such as to a meeting with Los Amigos (member from the community). Al so I decided to take a leadership role as the sergeant at arms which is responsible of keeping order in the meetings. I know it has only been several weeks but I already have gain even more than what I had expected, for example we are going over our case that we are going to be presenting to our judge and trying to win it. Just by going over this case and the way we are taking everything step by step gives me a better understating of how the system works which I'm new to. Even though I have gotten more than enough I know there's so much more to learn as we go along and I can not wait to keep on growing along with our delegation.
